Harty FTP

Ftp using a Mac Os 9.x and below

  1. Go thru Chooser
  2. Click on Appleshare
  3. Click Server IP Address
  4. Type in Harty address: 204.60.76.134 and click Connect
  5. IF you were given your own Username and Password then use them for steps 7 and 8 below
  6. Type in Name: hartypress
  7. Type in Password: harty
  8. Click Connect
  9. Select and Click Ok on hartypress volume
  10. hartypress server icon will appear on desktop
  11. Make an alias to the hartypress server icon on desktop, or your own volume on desktop if given your own username and password, so you will not have to go thru all these steps 2-9 again. Just double click alias and you will go right in to hartypress folder
  12. Create a folder with your files in it and copy your folder into hartypress folder

NOTE:
Username and Password are all lowercase
Folders and Files must go into the hartypress folder and not outside of it.

Ftp using a Mac Os X

  1. At top of Desktop click “Go” tab
  2. Click “Connect to Server” button
  3. In Server Address Bar
  4. Type in Harty address: 204.60.76.134
  5. Then Click “Connect” button
  6. IF you were given your own Username and Password then use them for steps 8 and 9 below
  7. Type in Name: hartypress
  8. Type in Password: harty
  9. IF you were given your own Username and Password then select your own volume in steps 11 below
  10. At the window HartyWeb, Select the volumes to mount: you would select hartypress
  11. If a hartypress window doesn’t just open for you, then a hartypress server icon will appear on desktop
  12. Make an alias to the hartypress server icon on desktop, or your own volume on desktop if given your own username and password, so you will not have to go thru all these steps 2-12 again. Just double click alias and you will go right in
  13. Double Click on hartypress server Icon on Desktop to open Folder
  14. Create a folder with your files in it and copy your folder into hartypress folder

Ftp using a PC

  1. Goto www.ipswitch.com
  2. Download public evaluation copy of WSFTP Pro..
  3. Install WSFTP Pro using all default settings, they work fine.
  4. Then use Quick Connect or when it prompts to make first connection put in Harty Info below and save it.
  5. Host or IP address is 204.60.76.134 - IF it doesn’t want the IP numbers then you can type in ftp.Hartynet.com
  6. IF you were given your own Username and Password then use them for steps 7 and 8 below
  7. Type in Name: hartypress
  8. Type in Password: harty
  9. IF you were given your own Username and Password then select your own volume in steps 10 below
  10. Double Click the volumes to mount: you would select hartypress
  11. Create a folder with your files in it and copy your folder into hartypress folder
  12. You may have to refresh your screen with refresh button to see files that are uploaded.

NOTE:
Username and password are case sensitive and should be all lowercase for the hartypress folder. The Account field should be left blank. Anonymous should be unchecked. Use passive transfers should be unchecked for better or faster transfer performance. You can go under the Advance tab, Remote Folder and type in /hartypress or use /step 9 info above. This will take you right into the volume next time omitting steps 9 and 10. Folders and Files must go into the hartypress volume and not outside of it. Save your settings for next time.
